Rudy Johnson – Obituary

Rudy Johnson, 59, died Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013, at North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born Sept. 12, 1954, in Atlanta, Ga., the son of James and Delores Featherston. He worked for Action for many years as a sewing machine mechanic and was a truck driver for FinishLine. He was a member of NorthStar Church. He enjoyed camping, water skiing and riding in his truck. He loved spending time with his family.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 25, at NorthStar Church – Tupelo Campus with Matt Flinn officiating. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.

Survivors include his wife, Christina Johnson of Tupelo; one daughter, Sierra Davis of the home; three sons, Michael Strickland (Shelly) of Tupelo, Jamie Johnson (Kelly) of Corinth and Christopher Johnson of Shannon; his mother-in-law, Sandy Beall of Tupelo; his father-in-law, Terry Stacy of Shannon; two sisters, Abby Paine (Larry) of Memphis and Banella Ray (Gary) of Tupelo; two brothers, Steve Johnson (Sherry) of Senatobia and James Featherston (Jodi) of Macon, Ga.; and eight grandchildren, Nikki, Tayler, Kaylee, John Wesley, Joseph, CJ, Maylee and Katelynn.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his grandparents, Carl and Myrtle Mitchell and Thelma Featherston.
