Nell Gilliam – Obituary

Funeral services for Mrs. Nell Gilliam, age 89, are scheduled for 3PM on Friday November 15, 2013 in the Chapel of Pafford Funeral Home with Bro. Dan Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in Lexington Cemetery.
Mrs. Gilliam passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 in Lexington, TN. She was born in Paris, TN. to the late Porter and Bertha Brown Snow. She was a seamstress, worked at Salant and Salant and was also a housewife and a member of Broad Street Church of Christ in Lexington. Mrs. Nell enjoyed sewing, going to flea markets, gardening and loved all of her grandchildren. Mrs. Nell was preceded in death by her husband, Troy Leon Gilliam, three brothers, J.P., Charles, and Dan Snow and two sisters, Truma Rhodes and Wanda Sue Boone. Survivors include her sons, Myrell Gilliam and Ron Gilliam, daughters, Dian (David) Jowers and Kay Gilliam, and brother, Bill Snow. Survivors also include her 8 grandchildren; Robert (Christina), Jill (Bruce) Evans, Tiffany Willingham, Cindy Glover, Jay (Krystal), Melia (Tony) Kirby, Nick Gilliam and Evan Gilliam, 12 great grandchildren; Ella, Julia, Holly, Claire, Dearai (Bob) Garner, Heather, Ryan, Megan, Jackson, Garrett, Conner, and Mackenzie, and two great-great grandchildren, Chloe and Drake.
