MUSCLE SHOALS – The Muscle Shoals Sound Revue put on a killer show this past Wednesday night in Birmingham. And the Quad-Cities Daily was there to film some of the action. What a night! The stage was populated by some of the studio musicians who turned this 50’s-era sleepy little place into the “Hit Recording Capitol of the World”. The FAME Gang, The Swampers, The Muscle Shoals Horns… They were all there.
Songs were performed by Jimmy Hall, Candi Staton, Gary Nichols, shawna P, Wayne Chaney, Carla Russell, Rock n’ Roll Hall of Famer, Spooner Oldham, and newcomer Holli Mosley.
We will be publishing lots more from the show. Next up will be Wayne Chaney.
