Rosa “Bludy” Adkins – Obituary

RosaRosa “Bludy” Adkins, 81, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Friday, October 11, 2013, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Iuka. She loved to go dancing and listening to the local band Just Plain Country. She also enjoyed yard sales. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 until 9:00 p.m., Monday, October 14, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 15, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Greg Woodruff. Interment will follow in Snowdown Cemetery. Pallbearers include Rodney Pannell, Matt Carmack, Peyton Cummings, Lance Hollingsworth, Michael Busby, and Jackie Grisham. Honorary Pallbearers include Bob Pannell, Jason Parker, Stacy Parker, Matt Chase, and Jerry Ray Comer. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Survivors include one daughter, Becky Parker; four sisters, Frances Comer, Bonnie Hammock, Juanita Branium, and Betty Jane Seaman; four grandchildren, Anita McKinnon, Stacy Parker (Tonya), Jason Parker (Shannon), and Scotty Pruitt; four great-grandchildren, Britney Carmack (Matt), Anna Parker, Sierra Pruitt, and Lily Parker; and one great-great-grandchild, Kensley Pruitt. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Mary Adcock; a daughter, Faye Adkins Jones; a grandson, Jimmy Lee Pruitt; four brothers, Howard “Tad” Adcock, Homer Adcock, Omer Adcock, and James Edward Adcock; and two sisters, Ruby Ramsey and Victoria Lambert.
