Villard “Ring Eye” Leo Ray age 91 of Florence passed away Tuesday September 24, 2013. Visitation will be Thursday September 26 at Elkins Funeral Home of Florence from Noon till 2pm. Services will be in the Chapel at 2pm with Dr. Marty Mosley officiating. Burial will follow at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Ray was a member of First Baptish Church of Florence. He loved his flowers and working in the yard.
Villard was survived by his niece Patsy Ray Steen and husband James, and a very special friend and loving pet, EllaBeth. And several cousins.
He was preceded by his wife Alene Ray. His parents Andy and Rose Ray. Stepmother Willie H. Ray and a brother Arvin Ray and wife Willie Mae
Pallbearers will be Terry Holden, Bobby Trousdale, Larry Comer, Bobby Jenkins, Chad Jenkins and Ryan Siniard.
Family would like to give a special thanks to Martha Handley, Villard’s caregiver. Brentwood Assisted Living. Dr. Robert Mann and the doctors and nurses on 3rd floor at Keller Hospital.
