Funeral for Lizzie Kate Curtis, 98, of Moulton will be today, September 15, 2013, at 3 p.m. at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with Steve Ledbetter officiating. Burial will be in Enon Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Curtis, who died Friday, September 13, 2013, at River City Nursing Home, was born February 9, 1915, in Lawrence County to the late John P. and Maude Lee Sullivan. She was a homemaker all her adult life. She was a member of Enon Baptist Church for 80-plus years. She loved quilting, planting and growing flowers. She taught Sunday school for several years, and loved to cook and spend time with family and grandchildren.
Survivors include one son, Tim Curtis; two daughters, Alga Sherrill and Van Hoskins; one sister, Madeline Jackson; seven grandchildren, one stepgrandchild and nine great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Dustin Curtis, Brian Curtis, Brandon Curtis, Justin Farrah, Wesley Randolph and Ron Sherrill.
