_MG_3533 copyFLORENCE – There was an extraordinarily large number of dogs and cats in Wilson Park Saturday. It was just as well… They were supposed to be there. The event was called PAWS in the Park.

The day was part of a “Make-A-Wish-Foundation’s” promise to Annika Glover, who was diagnosed with a serious disease in 1st Grade. Annika is disease-free today, and so her mom and dad and she have a double reason to celebrate. Annika’s wish was to hold an event to promote animal adoption, and the folks at Make-A-Wish-Foundation were only too happy to help. In all they raised over $7-thousand which was donated to “Pets Are Worth Saving” Foundation (PAWS).

The Quad-Cities Daily was on hand to take Event Photos and we present them here. Lots of photos of dogs, cats, boys and girls… We hope that you find yourself or your child in here! The photos are big enough to download and print on a decent photo printer, or over at a nearby drugstore. Just remember, NON-COMMERCIAL USE ONLY. Thanks!
