dianneDeborah Diane Clanton Hinton age 62, of Florence, died Friday, July 26, 2013. Visitation will be Sunday, July 28, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Spry~Williams Funeral Home of Florence. The service will be Monday, July 29 at 11:00 am in the funeral home chapel with Bro: John Brock and Bro: Chris Underwood officiating. Burial will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be members of the Sunday school class, Frank Dean, Bill Farris, John Moody, Barry Rinks, Paul Russell, and Jim Torbert. She was a devoted teacher with the Florence City School System for over 40 years and was a devout Christian and an active member of Highland Baptist Church. Deborah was also a former church librarian and worker in the church nursery and enjoyed sewing (heirloom smocking), embroidery, quilting, and knitting. She was preceded in death by her father, Jesse Orlan Clanton, brother, Jesse Clanton, Jr. and stepfather, Eldon C. Stewart. Survivors are her husband, Johnny E. Hinton of Florence; mother, Julia K. Stewart of Florence; children, Adrienne Elizabeth Hinton Simmons and husband Chris of Corinth, and Allison Nicole Hinton Nokes and husband Andrew of Nashville; brothers, Charles Clanton and wife Carol of Tuscaloosa, and Randy Clanton and wife Sandy of Florence; grandchildren, Sean Caleb Simmons of Corinth, and Alexis Rose Nokes of Nashville and several nieces and nephews. Memorial may be made to the American Cancer Society.
