The concert will be held at GAS Design Center in Tuscumbia, Alabama; GASthe birth place of Helen Keller, in the Shoals. GAS Design Center is owned by Clio award winning photographer & graphic designer; Robert Rausch. http://gasdesigncenter.com/
Shonna Tucker grew up in the northwest corner of Alabama, an area known as the Shoals and famous for the Muscle Shoals Sound, Helen Keller and the father of the blues; W. C. Handy.
During this years annual W. C. Handy Festival, Shonna Tucker will make her first appearance in the Shoals since leaving the Drive By Truckers. Ms. Tucker was the bass player, vocalist and song writer with the Truckers for eight years. She left at the end of 2012 to pursue a solo career and formed Shonna Tucker & Eye Candy in 2013 with former Drive By Truckers guitarist/pedal steel; John Neff. They are joined by keyboardist; Clay Leverett on drums, Bo Bedingfield on guitar, and Neil Golden on keys. Their debut album is set for a Fall 2013 release.
The evenings lineup includes a variety of bands and acoustic performers to welcome Shonna Tucker home. They include; The Lorels, Clara Belle and the Creeps, Red Mouth, Elias Patriot, The Edward Armstead Project, Dave Haselton, Hempanzee and a special presentation of the Muscle Shoals Mashup by Caness & Parallel Thought.

Echoing the sentiment that art and music are a perfect marriage, there will be an Art Installation by Lucas Stokeslucas stokes
This is a FREE concert~
In lieu of a ticket price, we are asking for canned goods or a small donation to support local area food banks~the food will be distributed through Food Banks of North Alabama.
Please, 3 cans or a donation~they are in need of:
– Canned meat or fish
– Canned vegetables
– Canned soups, chili or stew
– Canned fruits
No homed canned goods~although they are probably the best, they cannot legally be distributed, thank you!N Harmony with NatureThis is also a GREEN event, we want to keep the Shoals clean and environmentally safe for generations of musicians and music lovers to come~
