Florence Police say they caught a burglar who evidently liked Chinese food.

FLORENCE – Vigilant patrolling leads to the arrest of a local man on Burglary charges.

Sgt. Scott Perkins is being credited with catching Billy Harold Anderson, III, 23, of Florence, allegedly in the act of burglarizing Peking Chinese Restaurant, located at 1701 Florence Blvd early Sunday morning. Perkins was patrolling the area and observed broken glass at the restaurant and saw somebody moving inside the building. Within moments, other officers arrived at the scene. Anderson was taken into custody and was subsequently charged and booked into the Lauderdale County Detention Center.
